hey bhavika! thanks for scribbling on my page..i'd love to contribute, its just that there is not much to say...we all know that tobacco is wrong, whats the use saying it again and again. if one had to change, he/she'd change without even saying or the first time and one who is destined to die a tobaccoed death will die, no matter how hard you try to change him/her. so better keep mum and check ourselves...

seriously just think of it.... how much INTERNET TRAFFIC would have been wasted on such discussions and blogs?? still there is no significant downfall in the number of smokers instead its increasing day by day !!!

there are many other things to be taken in consideration apart BAN ON SMOKING.. this is much like a FALTOO discussion. if people are so concerned about bringing good changes than provide or donate personally to poor peoples and those lower class peoples in government hospitals who needs money for their hospital expenses. help those middle class students who dont have enough money for getting admissions in high colleges and help them to get employed. and you dont need a special LIGHTSABER OR CANDLE to search for such peoples.
but noooo these bloggers will bring up such nasty and faltoo issues.. when told they simply say its not their matter and others are looking in it.. what theeeeeeeeee

Bhavika,

Pleased to see your efforts in this direction,

m doubtful if policy makers ever take our opinions into consideration...
there is no other way than being there among policymakers to change things..
again this is my personal opinion!!

Hello Bhavika.
Thanks for including me as a part.
Everybody knows...A coin has 2 sides...but when it comes for "Tobacco",I think it has only 1.
This menace has to be stopped completely but it isn't possible.
As it is very well known that recently in Rajasthan , the Gahlot govt. banned the consumption of alcohol but still there are ways which collapse the above and most importantly they are being followed.
So it would be better if all of us would give it a nice think before it's too late.
thanks

sure.. below is my comment.

Being a free world, you cannot ban smoking. It is not the only vice sold openly in the market today. Forcing a ban is never a solution to any problem, on the contrary, it will only exaggerate the issue. Don't we all know that as kids, when our parents asked us not to do a certain thing, we went ahead to do exactly that! ;) its human tendency. I believe that a more focused approach to educate people on the harms of smoking and then letting them decide whats good for them should be the motive.

The laws need to be stringent. How many of us know that there is a ban on selling cigarettes in the vicinity of any school or college. Yet, we see small shops selling cigarettes right at the school and college doors. The laws should be enforced to make this world a better place to breathe.

Hi....
I feel that smoking ban is needed from the society. You can easily see youths from colleges taking pride in smoking. If you don't smoke you are like an idiot.
I also believe movies also promote it .

Hi Bhavika,
I feel the smoking ban is not such a bad idea though I wonder if it really helps. The choice to smoke or not to smoke should come from the smoker himself. I have seen smokers getting fidgety and irritated when they can't smoke. Of course the pros and cons of smoking can and should be instilled in children and others who care to listen, but at the end of the day, it is a personal matter.

well, the smoking ban seems a little too harsh...firstly because it sucks that you cant light up a fag whenever and wherever you want to,that sense of freedom is lost. ...secondly,in my opinion the passive smoking gimmick is all bullshit because truth be told there is no such thing as passive smoking, causing harm to another person and all that...probably psychological crap shoved your way to make you think different...smoking is one persons preference..so what the fuck is everyone else's problem...i do what i wanna do with my life...i smoke and i drink, you cant judge me by that..(the reason i say this is for:.as im sure mostly everyone knows/ thinks... in our indian society smoke and booze is often synonymised with immoral, unethical or even downright degenerate..)people are such hypocrites.it is oppressing...People have been smoking/smoking up since the dawn of time(:)),i doubt if that will change..
However, smoking with a certain sense of responsibility isn't too bad an idea(i know i know, after all the things i just said who's the real hypocrite now right ??..well just hear me out, cuz addiction is bad.The main reason which fucks things up. more than the habit its the addiction..)...knowing your boundaries and limits ,if you get what i mean...its all upto you as a single individual person and not those support groups and societies.. lastly..
people who took offense from this post (wtf??) can fuck off....
peace...
ps:kudos to Bhavika for dropping by my page, sparking this reply...much appreciated..
