Pleased to see your efforts in this direction,
m doubtful if policy makers ever take our opinions into consideration...
there is no other way than being there among policymakers to change things..
again this is my personal opinion!!
Thanks for including me as a part.
Everybody knows...A coin has 2 sides...but when it comes for "Tobacco",I think it has only 1.
This menace has to be stopped completely but it isn't possible.
As it is very well known that recently in Rajasthan , the Gahlot govt. banned the consumption of alcohol but still there are ways which collapse the above and most importantly they are being followed.
So it would be better if all of us would give it a nice think before it's too late.
thanks
Being a free world, you cannot ban smoking. It is not the only vice sold openly in the market today. Forcing a ban is never a solution to any problem, on the contrary, it will only exaggerate the issue. Don't we all know that as kids, when our parents asked us not to do a certain thing, we went ahead to do exactly that! ;) its human tendency. I believe that a more focused approach to educate people on the harms of smoking and then letting them decide whats good for them should be the motive.
The laws need to be stringent. How many of us know that there is a ban on selling cigarettes in the vicinity of any school or college. Yet, we see small shops selling cigarettes right at the school and college doors. The laws should be enforced to make this world a better place to breathe.
I feel that smoking ban is needed from the society. You can easily see youths from colleges taking pride in smoking. If you don't smoke you are like an idiot.
I also believe movies also promote it .
I feel the smoking ban is not such a bad idea though I wonder if it really helps. The choice to smoke or not to smoke should come from the smoker himself. I have seen smokers getting fidgety and irritated when they can't smoke. Of course the pros and cons of smoking can and should be instilled in children and others who care to listen, but at the end of the day, it is a personal matter.
However, smoking with a certain sense of responsibility isn't too bad an idea(i know i know, after all the things i just said who's the real hypocrite now right ??..well just hear me out, cuz addiction is bad.The main reason which fucks things up. more than the habit its the addiction..)...knowing your boundaries and limits ,if you get what i mean...its all upto you as a single individual person and not those support groups and societies.. lastly..
people who took offense from this post (wtf??) can fuck off....
peace...
ps:kudos to Bhavika for dropping by my page, sparking this reply...much appreciated..
