Mumbaikars often fail to appreciate one of the finest sources of literary inspiration that is everywhere to be found in the city. Not only is it most fun. It is also a unique Mumbai phenomenon. The only close enough alternative I can think of is the merry musings one often spots on trucks that ply the length and breadth of our nation's highways.

Ladies and boys I am talking about the undiscovered and under-appreciated world of Taxi Cab Back Window Literature that can be a great source of fun and mirth.

And bewilderment.

Let me showcase one such example I spotted yesterday in the august company of the great Arjun Ravi somewhere near the JAM Office:

Sidin bhai, you have hereby joined the ranks of Khushwant Singh's joke book series, which is powdered with literature from the posteriors of rickshaws, taxis and trucks from all over India. I remember one...Mr. Khush said he saw it on a taxi...
