Satellite launch... uimaa!

IIT Kanpur is going to develop a micro satellite that will give information on agricultural situations and warnings on natural calamities like floods and famine. Good work! But will this really help (on all practical purposes) to prevent a Tsunami and its aftermath is yet to be seen. Full story here

They're only hinting at helping prevent "agricultural situations and floods" which will most probably be done using remote sensing data. Practically, it will help prevent what it says it will help prevent.
