An apple must taste like an apple. An egg roll must taste like an egg roll. This is something that even the creator of all these stuff would agree with- that things would look, smell, feel and taste the way they are supposed to look, smell, feel and taste. We humans don’t tolerate creative things, by which I mean we don’t want ‘things’ to be creative by themselves and hence be a rebel. (Psst… enough of this build up, buddy, c’mon, get on with it, will ya?)
So I just tasted Maggi Rice Noodle Mania Shahi Pulao and am so influenced…err…affected by it that I am writing about it. I am dismayed. I did not expect this from Maggi. What I just had was not Maggi and not Shahi Pulao. It hung in the area labeled ‘hermaphrodite’ between both.
Maggi is a taste that lingers on your palette when you think of school tiffin boxes and the days when mom would be too fussy to make a meal. The something I just had- MRNMSP tasted like the khichdi that doctors advise you to have when suffering from indigestion.
Nestle, you got this one wrong.
